About the Training
About This Course:
This is a 4-hour course on essential safety procedures and guidelines for the safe use of general-use pesticides in accordance with federal regulations. It includes training on the proper handling, storage, and disposal of pesticides, as well as how to protect the environment and human health from potential pesticide hazards. Topics include pesticide safety, labeling and storage requirements, proper application techniques, and personal protective equipment (PPE). The course will conclude with an examination, and participants must pass in order to receive certification.
Note: This course is divided into a two‑part series. Saturday, August 2nd is for instruction only, and the exam will be held on the following Saturday, August 9th. Participants must attend both days—including instruction and exam—to receive a course completion certificate.
