About the Training
About This Course:
This one-hour training provides individuals who work with the elderly (senior citizens) with the knowledge and confidence required to fulfill their legal obligation as a mandated reporter. The course will clarify what constitutes elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, teaching participants to identify the specific physical, emotional, and financial signs and symptoms of potential mistreatment in older adults. Crucially, the training will outline the step-by-step reporting process, detailing when a report is required, how to make a legally compliant report to the appropriate Adult Protective Services (APS) or law enforcement, and ensuring participants understand the legal protections afforded to them as mandated reporters.
